Children need healthy, wholesome foods
Food, Nutrition and Mealtimes
Good Nutrition is an important part of our daily program. Our menus have been planned and based on a nutritionally well balanced diet. We cater for all dietary, religious and cultural requirements The centre employs a cook to provide health hot or cold substantial lunch and nutritious morning and afternoon teas and snacks daily. For our nursery the babies receive fresh pureed or mashed vegetables daily and this is supplement with meat, chicken and fish. All our meals and beverages contain adequate portions of protein, carbohydrates and calcium necessary for growing children. All children are offered milk throughout the day for calcium. For snacks we offer children cheese, crackers, dips and bread cruskits for example. Our menu is culturally diverse and offers a wide range of meals from all over the world, focusing on the European Cuisine. Mealtimes are a very important part of a child’s life, so we also place great importance on this experience. Mealtimes are a pleasant coming together

Clothing
Exploration often requires getting messagey! All of the materials that we use are washable however, we are aware that some paint colours and other materials are difficult to fully remove.

Nutrition
Children are encouraged to taste a variety of foods but no child is ever forced to eat foods that they do not wish to. All parts of the meal make up a child's nutritional requirement; therefore no food will be withheld.
