Experienced Educators

Our team of educators understand that children must feel safe, secure and supported before they can learn. The children refer to their educators as THEA which means Aunty in Greek. It signifies respect and love.

Our educators are experienced in building that important environment of trust, open communication and respect for the individual and their family as the starting point for learning.

We empower our educators & provide them with all the necessary information to provide an caring environment, resources, and support to create the best learning opportunities for our children.

Our centre employs highly qualified educators whose qualifications exceed what is recommended by the Childcare Regulations. These qualifications include Bachelor of Teaching (Early Childhood), Diploma of Children Services and Associate Diploma in Childcare. All staff at our centre is required to hold a current First Aid Certificate and Resuscitation Certificates. All educators and volunteers are also required to hold a Suitability Card or Blue Card, which checks all criminal history.

We have employed extra casual educators for each group in our centre as we believe children require more one to one assistance, help and love during the day. The extra staff allows for more individual care and education for each child.

All educators attends in-service training and workshops throughout the years to keep them up to date with the latest changes and information.

Our aim is to provide a safe, warm, caring and stimulating atmosphere where each child receives the best opportunities for physical, emotional, social, intellectual and spiritual development.

The provision of quality childcare and education is a priority for our centre. Qualifications and experience of staff, child/staff ratios, and the relationship between parents and staff are essential elements of quality childcare. At the Greek Community Childcare Centre we provide extra staff in each group to assist with all care and education offered to the children

Research has indicated that the preparation and competence of personal working in childcare is an important determinant of the quality of care education received by young children.
